In the west wall niche in Cave 97 of Mogao Grottoes, there are two child Flying Apsaras painted symmetrically on both sides of the bodhi treasure canopy. Both of them are bald and wear small braids on both sides of their heads, with two red ribbons hanging down from the upper parts of their foreheads. They are dressed in a kind of strappy clothes made of animal skins and in red boots. They have chubby faces and look slightly childish. They are holding a flower tray in one hand and scattering flowers with the other hand. The ribbons are flying and colorful clouds are surrounding them, which is quite interesting.
