【中文】莫高窟第148窟的参观重点是体量庞大的涅槃佛塑像和涅槃经变画。洞窟中央佛坛上塑有释迦牟尼涅槃像。这尊涅槃像头南脚北,面向东方,右胁枕手,累足横卧,身长14.40米,从体量上对比是莫高窟的第二大涅槃像。

【英文】Mogao Cave 148 is located at the southern end of the gottos. Its cave form is that of the Nirvana cave. The focus of Cave 148 is the huge sculpture of Buddha attaining Nirvana, as well as the many paintings of the Nirvana Sutra transformation. On the Buddhist altar in the middle of the cave is the statue of the Sakyamuni attaining Nirvana, with his head at the south, feet the north, and face the east. The statue lies with both feet closed together, the right side of the body resting on the right hand. The whole statue has a length of 14.40 meters. In terms of size, it is the second largest Nirvana statue in the Mogao Grottoes.
