【中文】莫高窟第158窟是典型的涅槃窟。所谓涅槃窟，是将涅槃作为洞窟的主体，第158窟佛坛上的这尊涅槃像为石胎泥塑，身长15.6米，双目半闭，唇含笑意，丝毫没有凡人入卧终的痛苦和悲哀，相反犹如欣慰，满意而入睡，整个形态，表情深刻地表现了“寂灭为乐”的涅槃境界。
【英文】Murals Cave 158 of Mogao Grottoes is a quintessential Nirvana Cave. A Nirvana Cave features Nirvana as its central theme. The Nirvana statue on the altar of Cave 158 is a stone-cored clay sculpture, stretching 15.6 meters in length. With half-closed eyes and a gentle smile, it exudes no trace of mortal suffering or sorrow at the end of life, but rather a sense of contentment and peaceful slumber. Its entire form and expression profoundly embody the Nirvana realm of "finding joy in the cessation of existence".
